Your Challenge is to make something for every meeting.

“President’s Iron Man Challenge”. Basically it is a challenge from me to each of the SPW regular and student members to turn a specific item. |
Members bring their items to the next meeting, not for a judging, but to verify that they have completed the challenge. You can bring it in for “Show and Tell” if you would like.
We would love to include your products in our photos.
I will keep track of who has brought in the challenge item and a drawing will be done from the members that participated that month. You should sign in on an Iron Man Challenge Spiral Notebook to be placed on the Show & Tell table. I will take it from there and type up the results for the Revolutions Newsletter and Webpage.
For those that participate in ALL of the challenges, there will be an end of year “Grand Prize”. Possible monthly prizes may be awarded. In case of a year-end tie we will draw for the “Grand Prize.” We will need volunteers to solicit business for prizes. Grand Prize could be a handsome plaque or something else.
The “Challenge” lies not in the items we are trying to create, but in finding the time to complete the turning and to acquire new skills. It does not matter what level you may consider yourself, complete the challenge. Hopefully we can make more connections to help ourselves learn and get assistance in developing our abilities. Some challenges may include a link for useful information.

What if you can’t make a meeting but want to complete the challenge? Send it in with a SPW member or bring it to the next meeting and you’ll get credit for the completed challenge.

Members have the option on some challenges to donate items to the club inventory to be sold or not.
Some challenges specify that the products will be donated to our Club, Lubbock Art Festival or SWAT Beads of Courage. We will be needing new items for the Lubbock Arts Festival, GAC Fall Festival, and South Plains Fair. |
