2020 Theme is: "United We Stand" Open for Winning Ideas to use the THEME with what I have.
To win prize money the entry must use the Theme.
One idea is to make wood/plastic cutouts and mount to Harbor Freight garden carts or 2 wheel dollies to make a "train".
Can be pulled with mower, trike, or golf cart?.
Ideas needed for "United We Stand"
Lots of signage both sides of the trailer: with sponsors web page(s) & Logo, Banners
Might build a pusher trike with a BMX and strong rider(s).
Need 4 Walkers at each corner as safety ambassadors.
OK to give candy. OK to include a flyer, business card, as wrapper. Have to get approval from Don Caldwell. I do not like throwing candy from a moving bicycle, lawn mower, golf cart----bad things happen.
Promoter says we can set up at 6:00 AM. Judging starts at 7:00 AM in the staging parking lot ( N of Library, E of Civic Center ). No mean political anything. Roll at 9:00 AM. Be prepared for a 2.5 hour 2 mile walk or slow ride with lots of standing.
Need singers / musicians for the judges.
KLBK will give us 30 seconds or more at the viewing stand and read our script about our organization. In 2016 & 2017 I gave news talent, Heidi Wagoner a ride on the butterfly bike.
If we get toward the front and start at 9 AM we can be done by 11-11:15 AM at Joyland. Have my truck and trailer parked at the finish line in the shade and load up. It is still pleasant but not after 12:00 noon. Anyone want to cook? covered dish?? Picnic and cold drinks???
